Matthew Buxton

After leaving school, I worked part-time on building sites for local companies. I often found myself gravitating towards the plumbers, as I had a keen interest in the work they were doing. This led me to return to college to study for my NVQs in Plumbing.

I secured an apprenticeship with a local plumbing company and quickly realised that small repair jobs were not for me — I was much more drawn to large, complex projects. I stayed with this company while continuing my studies and eventually qualified as a Gas Engineer.

After five years, and with the encouragement and support of my employer, I decided it was time to start my own business. I founded MB Plumbing & Heating and quickly built up a large customer base. My niche became completing high-end bathrooms and installing extensive underfloor heating systems for clients looking to make their homes more energy-efficient and eco-friendly.

In 2023, after years of collaborating on various projects, Nathan Broadley and I realised the potential of joining our expertise in carpentry, building, plumbing, and heating under one roof. Together, we formed Buxton & Broadley Renovations, offering clients a seamless, all-in-one service for their renovation and construction needs. By combining our skills, we ensure projects are managed efficiently, delivering high-quality results with a personal touch.

Outside of work, I enjoy riding my motorcycle and fishing.
